Donations From Your House Can Help a Family Build Theirs

Our ReStore, Furniture Store and Thrift Shop sell gently used building materials, household goods, furniture and clothing donated by the kind and generous members of our community. The benefits of the sale of these items are two-fold: our friends and families can buy the things they need for their homes and lives at an affordable cost, and the proceeds from these sales allow Habitat for Humanity EVLA to fund our projects and keep our organization active.

We accept donations Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ReStore, Furniture Store and Thrift Shop.

Cars for Homes™

Have you seen the bumper sticker on cars around New Mexico that reads: “My other car is in the arroyo”? There is an easier (and more environmentally friendly) way to get rid of a car that is no longer wanted or no longer working.

Cars for Homes™ is a national vehicle donation program that helps donors by removing their unwanted vehicles, and then helps Habitat for Humanity of Española Valley & Los Alamos by dispersing the funds from the donations to our organization to help put local families into energy-efficient homes. It’s a win-win!

Habitat for Humanity EVLA Inc. is in great need of the items listed below. Here are several ways you can help:

Equipment:
• Pickup Truck
• Double axle enclosed utility trailer:
Any brand utility trailer with rear and side opening doors. We use these for equipment storage on site, and transportation to work sites.
Office Supplies:
Office supplies always come in handy, especially copy paper.
Services:
We often need the expertise and advice from professionals during building or repairs.

• Architects: To make changes to our established home floor plans, when necessary.

• Landscapers: We like to leave our new homes with some minimal landscaping.

• General Contractors
• Plumbers

You can purchase an item(s) from the supplier of your choice for delivery to Habitat for Humanity EVLA Inc., or if you have a good working condition used item, please drop by our offices during our working hours.
